Ride the Rockies 2002. Doug has a goal to ride through most (all? Of the US states. He learned of the Ride the Rockies. The route looked tough, but we were pretty confident that we could handle it with some conditioning. As soon as the weather permitted, Linda and I trained on the local climbs and did the No Frills Century out of Redmond. In spite of our conditioning, we all found the Ride the Rockies tour to be the hardest bicycle tour we have experienced. 15 June 2002 (Saturday). View from Monarch Pass.

Bicycle Idaho, 2003. We enjoyed last year's Bicycle Idaho 2002. Tour and planned then to join the tour again this year. Last year's route was a loop in Eastern Washington and Northwest Idaho. This year's route is a loop in Southern Idaho with one day's ride overlapping the Bicycle Idaho 2001. Tour, but in reverse direction. As always, the tour was organized by Bicycle Rides Northwest.
