Blue skies: The countryside up near Durlston Country Park is always a delight. Behind the scenes, improvements and maintenance work carries on. Several rooms have had new beds, new carpets and, now, new high-definition smart TVs. Hopefully not all the guests will be viewing iPlayer programmes or YouTube videos at once or the Wi-Fi is likely to wilt under the strain, but it does give them another option when it's raining and they just want to relax indoors. Last light: Tonight's evening sun fading behind clouds over Nine Barrow Down. A relaxing, after-dinner walk up near Peveril Point. Gave us a super view over Swanage Bay this evening. And it was just what the doctor (would have) ordered. Busy, busy, busy are the days at Glenlee, from an early start for breakfasts round to clearing away the evening meal things and setting up for the following day's breakfast. The website boasts: ‘ Unlike other inferior rat poisons on the market, Formula ‘B’ is totally wax-free and made from only the highest quality whole-wheat grain’. Which sounds lovely and wholesome if it weren’t. For the fact that our aim is to KILL them all. Poor Ratty. Ps Why are there so many plagues at the h&j?
