Flight to Hong Kong. This is me flying to Hong Kong in April of 2000 as a guest of Captain Hugh Forbes in the cockpit of a Canadian Airlines 747. I always had a romantic notion of the famous Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong from reading references to it in many novels so here it is. It is similar to our old CPR Railway hotels in Canada, being very posh and expensive to stay or dine at.

This is the Banberry bed and breakfast house on Military Road that we stayed in at St. John's, Newfoundland. Kathy and I across the street from the bed and breakfast that we stayed at in St. John's. This is a landmark of St. John's called the Basilica Cathedral of St. John the Baptist which is about 150 years old. Me standing at Fort Louisbourg on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. This is the lighthouse at the south end of P.E.I. This is Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia.

This is the route I took in my motorcyle ride to Inuvik in July of 2000. I rode up to Dawson City and then over the Dempster Highway to Inuvik. On the way home, I rode down to Skagway, Alaska and then took the Stewart/Cassiar Highway to Dease Lake, coming out at Kitwanga on Highway 16 west of Smithers. Motorcycling to Inuvik along the Dempster Highway through Yukon and the Northwest Territories. The MacKenzie Hotel in Inuvik. This is high noon in the Arctic city of Inuvik in July of 2000.
