Joss' diary - mefn
http://mefn.livejournal.com/11014.html
April 28th, 2015. Joss was 6 months old last Thursday and it occured to me that I havent updated her diary here for a while. I really need to get around to collating it all in one place! Here are some highlights from this month. We went to York for the weekend earlier in the month to celebrate our wedding anniversary and weve embarked on weaning. It is exciting (and messy)! I like easy peel oranges, bread, butter, melon, ham, cucumber and Sweet Basil and Raspberry Creme Brulee. I do not like yogurt.

Dear Yuletide Author - Flags, rags, ferry boats...

Flags, rags, ferry boats. Oct 26th, 2014 at 5:21 PM. Firstly, thank you very much for offering one of my fandoms of choice. What I love: Moments of solidarity, people working together against big odds, glimpses of everyday life, and people showing they care about each other. I'd prefer a happy ending for yuletide; open ended or ambiguous is fine, as long as there is a possibility it could all turn out well. 2 comments Leave a comment. Aug 15th, 2015 08:38 am (UTC). I went on a march yesterday. I went on the march because I spent four years doing an undergraduate degree, six years doing a PhD and two semesters building up teaching experience to find that higher education in the UK is no longer a viable career choice if you value any kind of quality of life at all and also that it will be very difficult from anyone of my background to follow suit. To go back into the personal and continue my last post, at 16 I was living in the USA and much happier there than I had b...

Feminist Fightback and the aftermath - rocket fuel. Wed, Oct. 25th, 2006 04:44 pm. Feminist Fightback and the aftermath. We managed to get to SOAS and after running halfway across London looking for an internet café to print my final (though totally unnecessary, as it happened) edit, and another hour of sitting behind the Backlash stall upstairs, it was time for the Sexual Expression. For anyone arsed, here is a pretty accurate rendition of what I said:. Why should that government prevent her from having...

Diane Von Furstenberg Love. January 8th, 2009 (11:49 am). I'm beyond in love with this dress. I've been sighing over it for about 6 months now. It's currently 40% off on netaporter.com, which is still about 40% more than I can afford to pay. What are the realistic chances that if I buy it, I'll manage not to buy anymore clothes for about 3 months? Low, me thinks. Could I pawn it off as an I've-just-finished-marking-present, giving that I'm going to get paid lots for that (in March)? 6 months is a long.

Wonderful Little Walküre in Knickerbockers. May 3rd, 2009 at 5:25 PM. Over a year ago I snagged some really expensive soft furnishings fabric scraps from work (it had been used in a shoot) and vowed to make patchwork cushions out of it. The scraps have been languishing in a bag ever since, but this morning I decided to give it a try. Several hours and a LOT of sewing later, the cushion cover was made! It's a pillow-case design (I used this. And here is the back:. And I'm very pleased with the result.

Wonderful Little Walküre in Knickerbockers. It means nothing to me. Jul 13th, 2009 at 1:05 PM. I am back from Vienna, where it was sunny, and am in Dublin, where it is not. Bah. But I had an absolutely fabulous week. It was my very first time in Austria, and to my delight I was greeted with "Grüß Gott! And her blackly comic debut novel Mängelexemplar. About a young woman's experiences with depression. Kuttner seemed likeable and the book seemed quite intriguing. 5 Eating. Oh my God. Viennese food is deli...

Wonderful Little Walküre in Knickerbockers. I'm back with yet another five point post. Apr 5th, 2009 at 11:42 AM. 1 I am totally obsessed with ridiculous German soaps telenovelas. Well, one soap and one telenovela. I can't stop watching Marienhof (set in an ordinary Cologne neighbourhood) and Sturm der Liebe (set in a fancy hotel near Munich) online (thank you, Das Erste website! These are some of the things I have learned from my new fave shows:. 3 I have a vegetable patch! 4 It is spring! And I know th...
