Sunday, June 28, 2009. What Is A Friend? I'm feeling very sad today as I sit and contemplate the status of my friendships. Who are my friends? What does friendship mean? I do not get these 'blue' periods very often but when I do usually dwell on them and let them fester. Today I choose a different route and try to exorcise these demons. Saturday, February 05, 2011. Mourning the Loss of the Never-Was. Today I am in mourning, yet I'm not completely sure what I am mourning for. Loss, certainly. But a loss that is hard to define. Today as I was Googling around, I stumbled upon an obituary for the woman who bore me. And it has left me dazed and bewildered at the circumstances that brought me to the point where I would only learn of her death months after the fact, and in such a harsh, untempered way. Wednesday, January 20, 2010. I'm In Love With A Dead Guy. At least that's what my Mom says. I have been reading the works of Dalton Trumbo lately and she might be right. Of course, he's a dead guy who looked a lot like my grandfather, but he's still my literary dream man. Tuesday, August 11, 2009. This Summer's Guilty Pleasures. Summer is such a lovely time to indulge in guilty pleasure, don't you think? Here is my list of this summer's favorites. 1 Strawberry Ice Cream Sodas. 2 "Man vs. Food". Why do I enjoy watching someone else pig out so much? I love to watch and only partly for the food. So instead of making one giant meal to consume (and have tons of leftovers) we decided to eat all day long. The best of both worlds.

Tuesday, April 20, 2010. February was a short month that was jam packed. I had lots of orders for valentine's Day, including a rather elaborate box that was intended for a young man to ask out a young lady for a Valentine's Day dinner. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Things I Have Been Thinking About Today. How 'artisanal' can the new ravioli at Olive Garden really be? It's a chain restaurant. I bet the ravioli isn't even handmade. I really hope the murder-suicide of the Mesquite councilwoman and her husband wasn't really over a false $96.40 travel expense. I hope that people remember the couple for all the good they did instead of the tragic end. The commercials imply that they can get you out of criminal charges. I think that strong...
