Conveniently located in North Head, on the picturesque island of Grand Manan which is situated in the Bay of Fundy, off the coast of New Brunswick and Maine, the motel's 24 units are within walking distance of some of the island's best attractions. The five acre property overlooks Flagg's Cove and Long Island Bay and has its own beach where you can explore, sunbathe, watch the fishing boat activity, the ferry arrivals or simply gaze at the tide's twice daily twentysomething foot rise and fall.

Surfside Motel has its own beach, which is easily accessible from the motel. There are lots of Adirondack chairs out back (waterside) for guests to relax in and take in the view. There are picnic tables and gas barbecues for gastronomic convenience. In the summer on Saturday mornings, there is a Farmer's Market just across the street - from 10:00 until 12:30 which features local crafts, fresh produce, home baking, live music.etc. It's the place where EVERYONE meets on Saturday morning. You can reach Grand Manan Island from the ferry terminal in Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick, about 10 kilometres off Route 1, between St. Stephen and Saint John. Visitors from Quebec, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia should travel to Saint John, and follow Route 1, west to Blacks Harbour. There are two main airports in New Brunswick. Saint John Airport. In 2001, under new ownership, the Motel updated their accommodations to include Cable TV, microwave ovens, small fridges, WiFi in all units and propane BBQ’s for guest’s use. The housekeeping cottages are fully equipped with modern stoves, fridges, dishes, pot, pans, etc., everything necessary for a couple of nights or a week or longer stay.
