Tuesday, June 21, 2011. I recently got an internship at Carus Publishing in Chicago! I start officially in a few days) As I was applying for the position and conversing with the art director, he asked me if I ever drew anything for younger audiences. After looking over my portfolio, panicking, and spending a night drawing these kids, I was able to tell him yes (or at least that I was capable of drawing a person younger than 15, kind of.). Tuesday, January 31, 2012. This semester I'm taking sequential arts as my studio elective. I really want to build up a portfolio of my comics and eventually start a new blog dedicated to them. This class will definitely help me get some more work done. Here is my first piece from the class, a comic based on a true, unfortunate incident from my childhood. Enjoy! January 31, 2012 at 5:15 PM. This is second attempt at combining a charcoal drawing with photoshop flat colors (the first being Sad Pastries). Overall, I'm pleased with how it came out.
