schleiferkin: June 2009
http://schleiferkin.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
A day in the life of our family. Monday, June 29, 2009. Still a roller coaster! I didn't say a whole lot about taking care of my mom while she was living with us, except for the occasional allusions that it was really really difficult! I will post more as I clean up the messes- paperwork, moving things, donating her medical equipment. In the meantime, Isaac is almost walking! He loves the pool and splashing! Aunt Stephanie gave him the coolest blow-up ducky bath- which is super fun and safe. All of you w...

schleiferkin: what we do to others, we do to ourselves
http://schleiferkin.blogspot.com/2012/02/what-we-do-to-others-we-do-to-ourselves.html
A day in the life of our family. Wednesday, February 8, 2012. What we do to others, we do to ourselves. Hello, my name is Tara Schleifer and I oppose Senate Bill 636. I am a married stay-at-home mother to my son Isaac who is here with me today. I came to learn sometimes life breaks you. The only comfort to be had was that I carefully and methodically thought through everything. I considered every person in the situation, including my baby, and realized the only ones I could save were the living. ...Many ...

schleiferkin: December 2009
http://schleiferkin.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
A day in the life of our family. Wednesday, December 23, 2009. I wanted you all to know, I AM mailing holiday cards this year- -NEW YEAR'S holiday cards! They're all ready to go, and you should be recieving yours very soon! I am in my usual spacy, daydreamy place- and I'm doing all the holiday things, just with what feels like 25% of my pre-baby energy level! It was great because it was like instant Christmas the first week of December! But, alas- my cards are late anyway! Dave finished this semester las...

schleiferkin: roanoke rocks!
http://schleiferkin.blogspot.com/2010/09/roanoke-rocks.html
A day in the life of our family. Thursday, September 16, 2010. For Labor Day, Isaac and I went to Roanoke to visit Grama and Grampa, Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Joe and Cousins Ethan, Elise and Evan! It was Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Joe's birthdays and just a nice opportunity for Isaac to spend more time with his cousins. Evan and Isaac are just 8 months apart and they have lots of fun together :). And with Roanoke being so close by, we get to visit a lot. Which is very nice. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

schleiferkin: January 2009
http://schleiferkin.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
A day in the life of our family. Thursday, January 29, 2009. My friend Pam is living in Germany right now. Despite the 3000 geographical difference, it feels like she's right here, because there is a chat feature. Sometimes when you're juggling dogs, children, an infirm parent, there isn't time for talking on the phone, but you can always respond to an email when it's convenient. But- it sure is FUN! Sunday, January 25, 2009. My long lost friend. Today, my dear friend from 8th grade contacted me! So- she...

A day in the life of our family. Friday, September 11, 2009. To all of my graphic designer friends,. IKEA is ditching Futura, a beautiful, classic, iconic font FAMILY,. A font developed by Microsoft to work with computer screens. It has 3 variations, to Futura's infinite ones. Folks, IKEA's logo is set in Futura. Every single sign, catalog, business card, web graphic, and promotional item will eventually have to be re-branded. What is the world coming to? WT%- how does that happen? OFF, yeah, not so good!

schleiferkin: new JACK city
http://schleiferkin.blogspot.com/2010/09/new-jack-city.html
A day in the life of our family. Thursday, September 16, 2010. We might move to New York City. Most people would be overjoyed and jump up and down with glee for this possibility. Oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I am so whiny. I cannot convey my sadness. The good parts would be that we'd still be within a days drive to 99% of our family. And we'd get to visit everyone a lot, which is fun. Close to some beautiful countryside to visit for weekend trips. Good possibilities for jobs for Dave. But, oh, I'm just devastated!

schleiferkin: i think i'm done now!
http://schleiferkin.blogspot.com/2010/09/i-think-im-done-now.html
A day in the life of our family. Thursday, September 16, 2010. I think i'm done now! Done ranting that is! I've been keeping that post close to the chest for about 9 months now. I didn't want the sweet wonderful people I know here to be saddened by my opinions and I didn't want my family to be sad that I'm not IN LOVE with Virginia (as I fully expected to be! But I've said most of this to them anyway! And I want my blog to be REAL, not just happy and shiny. February 3, 2011 at 11:12 PM. Virginia - part II.

A day in the life of our family. Thursday, September 16, 2010. Virginia - part II. So the good parts:. Super fun friends and neighbors. Yay! We know lots of happy friends and I can get together with them often with Isaac, just not Dave (sniff :. He has some good flexiblity and it's a perfect match for while he's in school. They're very understanding. That we can live well and I can stay home with Isaac at this phase of our lives. If both of us worked and Dave also went to school, no one would ever be...

http://schleiferkin.blogspot.com/2010/09/virginia.html
A day in the life of our family. Thursday, September 16, 2010. Oh, how emotional it is to live here! For most people, this is a thriving metropolis with affordable housing, awesome diversity - possibly the MOST racially diverse and integrated place I've ever lived- and THAT'S COOL! Amazing history and cultural significance, quaint towns, bucolic scenery, talented wineries, horse enthusiasts, world-class sporting events, amazing nightlife and all these great things, yadda, yadda, yadda- - right?
