It was hardly a year ago when I was busy planning for our trip to Turkey and Egypt, with our home renovation on the way. And it's so amazing that so many things have happened since then. Spend quite a few hours in the kitchen to make a Pear Charlotte mousse cake for my parents. And you know what I got in return? Mom says, oh, maybe you should save the cake for yourself, as my fridge is packed with the 6 turnip cakes that relatives have brought over already. What more can I say? Sigh* It's really disappointing dealing with your parents sometimes.
