A blog about Southern,Country, simple, and down to earth cooking. Mostly thrifty and sometimes "experimental.". Friday, February 18, 2011. I haven't much experience with lentils. They have not landed on my dining room table very often. My lentils have sat in their storage container for some time and I have wondered "What to do" with those lentils. In the mood and really in the "need" for something healthy I thought I would give those forgotten lentils a try. 2 cups dry lentils. 3 stalks of celery chopped.

My hands . HIS GLORY. Sunday, June 23, 2013. SIMPLE WOMAN’S DAYBOOK…one more week of June. My own version of the Simple Woman's Daybook. Lots of cumulus clouds floating by, gradually joining together to become some scattered thunderstorms later in the evening I imagine. I am thankful for. The hand-cranked ice cream bucket is waiting for its bath before going back to the basement…maybe I’ll keep it upstairs for a while and make another batch. The peach/vanilla was AWESOME! 8230;and there are leftovers.
