June 13, 2008. 8212; gowithsimon @ 5:59 pm. After traveling through the Napa Valley on the way back to the hotel we stopped off at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge. A bridge so good it has it’s own website. I took some video of the scene as you can see here and some pictures which are at the bottom of the page. Nearby we also stopped at a place called Tiburon. Went to Russia to visit our technology office and to meet with the people from IRIAS which is run by the Russian Academy of Sciences. 8211; a group of very very very clever people. June 13, 2008. Driving through the Napa Valley. 8212; gowithsimon @ 4:47 pm. On the way back from Sacramento we drove through the Napa Valley, home of California Wines. We didn’t stop and try any, as it was a long drive back to the hotel, but we did stop off and take some pictures of grapes. Cedric being French and also into nice pictures took some very arty looking shots of the grapes – I just clicked away in my very non-arty British way🙂. There were vineyards and fields full of grapes everywhere.

最近一直在思考「明星氣質」這一件事情，就是那一種閃閃發亮的，讓人家忍不住停下手邊工作，安靜看著、聽著他，然後在某一個脆弱的時刻，會想要變成他的那種特質。 編輯的工作，也就是挖掘創作者的明星氣質，將之無限放大。然而明星實在稀罕，多數時候我們往往為了製造明星而不小心摧毀明星，帶給作者與自己極大的傷害。我相信那是編輯與作者都不曾理解成就明星所必須付出的代價，而把外界的反光誤以為是對方（與自己）的光芒，以為只要怎麼做了，就會變成明星。 於是我總在某些時刻，被無意的念頭牽引下，回想起過往某一本做壞的書的罪惡感，彆扭地期待在未來能夠彌補當初的傷害，然後在領悟現實殘酷之時，在失眠中憎恨自己的無能。 我喜歡一邊騎車一邊大聲唱歌。騎車有歌，像在拍攝公路電影，很幸福。不過，可能是因為暴露在空污中太久，聲音越來越沙啞，過往能夠輕易飆上的高音，如今就連用假音唱都覺得吃力（還會不小心斃岔）。 破音的時候，我總會想起惠妮．休士頓生前的那一場演唱會。國中在何嘉仁補英文時，一位同學因為喜歡惠妮．休士頓，而把英文名字取作.
