Grad School Knitter: what I did with my winter vacation
http://gradschoolknitter.blogspot.com/2014/01/what-i-did-with-my-winter-vacation.html
Friday, January 17, 2014. What I did with my winter vacation. A photo by gradschoolknitter. Although school has been out for almost a month, I still cannot say that my knitting speed has picked up much. So really the only thing I have to show for my "time off" is this cowl.*. Pattern is Duotone Cowl. Yarn is Malabrigo Silky Merino. Mods: none, except for that pesky extra row. That showed up uninvited. Since it's only on one side of the tube it can be turned to the inside and never seen again! And anyone ...
Grad School Knitter: thank gord for forgotten packages on a long Monday
http://gradschoolknitter.blogspot.com/2013/09/thank-gord-for-forgotten-packages-on.html
Monday, September 23, 2013. Thank gord for forgotten packages on a long Monday. A photo by gradschoolknitter. In any case, whatever the reason, today felt extra long, and it was, of course, a Monday. But I did return home to find a package that I had almost forgotten about! I bought some yarn that a friend of a friend was destashing on Ravelry last week and it showed up today! I had almost thrown out the packaging before I felt a little bump in the bottom, and when I felt around inside, I found these:.

Grad School Knitter: Last year's & new year's stashes
http://gradschoolknitter.blogspot.com/2013/12/last-year-new-year-stashes.html
Friday, December 27, 2013. Last years and new years stashes. Duo tone mal cowl. A photo by gradschoolknitter. From last Christmas' yarn acquisition, I'm finally making a cowl out of the two colours of malabrigo silky merino that DH gave me. He gave me similar yarn this year that might make a hat or mitts to match. sadly no pics of that yarn yet. And the Monochrome Sampler (which appears to have been discontinued/is no longer on the website). My own pics of the yarns can be found here for the autumn set.
Grad School Knitter: mini prof
http://gradschoolknitter.blogspot.com/2013/11/mini-prof.html
Sunday, November 17, 2013. A photo by gradschoolknitter. As a distraction from the sweater that may never end. Although it has gotten sleeves since last seen, so that's something. but it doesn't take away from the fact that I'm going to have to do some major surgery in order to add more length to the body), I cast on one of the several baby gifts that I've been meaning/needing to make for the many babies that have recently come into the lives of my friends. Thus the baby professor vest. This is a Flickr ...

Wheat-Ear Cable Yoke Knitalong: Finally Done!
http://wheatearcableyokeknitalong.blogspot.com/2007/11/finally-done.html
Wheat-Ear Cable Yoke Knitalong. A place for anyone knitting the Wheat-Ear Cable Yoke sweater from IK to get together, chat and knit! Thursday, November 15, 2007. I finally finished it. It is a lot looser on the top than I expected so I'm thinking about putting a ribbon through it, or something. The yarn (Swish Superwash from KnitPicks) is incredibly soft after I washed it. I will be using this yarn again. Oh my goodness it's gorgeous! I love how wide the neckline turned out on you! J c d wright.

Wheat-Ear Cable Yoke Knitalong. A place for anyone knitting the Wheat-Ear Cable Yoke sweater from IK to get together, chat and knit! Saturday, November 24, 2007. I'm knitting this one in the round, instead of in two panels, but must have forgotten a row of increases along the way, because I've started to cable, and don't have the right number of stitches to divide the pattern nicely! No picture posted because there's nothing too spectacular to show. Chris, from Chicago. Posted by Jenna Rain. J c d wright.

The Grad School Life...with Kids!
The Grad School Life.with Kids! Friday, October 24, 2014. April will be a big month for us. As we drove across the country, the miles started to get to me. The junk food and long drives made me feel nauseated and exhausted. Once we arrived in Utah, we left the kids with Grandma Steele and unpacked for a couple days. I still felt off- nauseated and tired. I reluctantly decided to take a pregnancy test- I say reluctant because we had just barely. After recovering from my shock, I found Kirk setting up Emma...

Here I hope to document my feeble attempts at juggling (and paying for) it all. Sunday, April 3, 2011. I decided to rekindle this blog since, even though I will be finally starting grad school in 2011, I do feel the journey began in 2010 when I first got the crazy idea in my head to do a 180 degree change of my career goals. I found I l...
