Thursday, August 6, 2015. Tuesday evening was a calming walk thru part of the path at. McLain's. Cooler evening than last week, so there not many people. Around. The breeze by the lake was perfect. A summery Christmas Tree. We got there two hours before sunset. Bill got a call to join his buddies for a music jam. So we headed home. Cell phones are annoyingly intrusive. It's only a 12 minute ride from our house. To the park. And we were there less than a half hour. With the lake and the beach and the woods.

Sunday, July 26, 2015. We celebrated a couple of July birthdays while some were. Gathered at the cabin. Rudy and Addy. Turned 12 and 11. Some of the kids painted rocks. Emma - I had to grab a quick pic when she was there. Getting older now and wanting to be with her friends. Moll, running around with snacks. Making sure everyone is happy. Took the out-of-town folks. For a boat ride. Out to the lighthouse. A bean bag toss game quickly turned into a bean bag war. Auntie Carol would have had heart failure.

Sunday, July 22, 2012. Biking around town/catch up. This past weekend, Pete and I had planned for a day trip to Mackinac Island - however, the forecast did not hold out for this plan. So instead we made a short flight to a local tourist town for a good lunch (chicken dinner), some window shopping, and a 4-5 mile bike ride. It was a good day. We were surprised by the hospitality shown by the islanders, enjoyed the beautiful island views and small town feeling of the place. We definitely would like to go back in the future for a longer period of time and would take our bikes - there are many miles of nice bike trails that would have been fun to explore!
