A Mom and 2 Things: September 2013
http://amomand2things.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
A Mom and 2 Things. Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Iron Craft #19- Monsters, Witches, Ghosts- OH MY! It is a favorite around our house. However, as Thing 1 and Thing 2 get older the focus on my making them a costume is changing. These are a few of my favorites from 2007 and 2008. This project came together pretty easily. You will need something to be the eyeball itself. I found white ornaments at Michaels and glitter paint. Then add the eye color. Then red for the veins. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A Mom and 2 Things: March 2012

A Mom and 2 Things. Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Iron Craft #6- Peeps! The challenge for this week for Iron Craft was to do something with Peeps! I knew this challenge would bring back both Thing 1 and Thing 2 to the blog. I think it was the hope of getting to eat a Peep or 2. He calls it Hunger Peeps. Thing 2 did a simple scene. He titled it "Rich Peeps". I did not have an idea to make with real Peeps so I decided to make a couple of Peep plushy toys for the dog. Thursday, March 22, 2012. I am calling my co...

A Mom and 2 Things: Iron Craft - Orange
http://amomand2things.blogspot.com/2013/01/iron-craft-orange.html
A Mom and 2 Things. Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Iron Craft - Orange. Orange, the theme for this week's Iron Craft. Reminds me of that knock, knock joke that ends with "orange you glad I didn't say banana? I know, I know- not a lot of orange but if you look really close there are a lot of orange tones in it :) Just the right amount for what I normally wear. For those of you that were participating in Iron Craft last year when we had the felt challenge. January 29, 2013 at 9:49 AM. About A Mom and 2 Things.

A Mom and 2 Things: August 2013
http://amomand2things.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
A Mom and 2 Things. Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Iron Craft #17- UFO's. When I read this challenge I thought it was something I could do but totally forgot about it until I saw Kathy's post with her project this morning. I realized that I had actually done a project yesterday that would fit the challenge. I had the supplies long before we moved. Just needed to unpack the sewing machine. The duvet can be used either side. Thing 2 loves it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). About A Mom and 2 Things.

A Mom and 2 Things. Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Iron Craft #5- Green or "Green". This week's challenge on Iron Craft. Gave us the option of either using something green or being "green" and reusing/repurposing something we already had. This was a pretty quick challenge but of course I waited until the last minute to finish. I took the old pillows, threw away the cover but added more stuffing to the original stuffing. I then made a simple "envelope" type of cover. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A Mom and 2 Things: January 2014

A Mom and 2 Things. Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Iron Craft '14 #2- Get it Together. This week for Iron Craft we were challenged to either create something to help us get organized OR we could organize our craft area. I choose the second option. I don't feel like there was any crafting involved but I did get it to where I can now hem my son's pants. I hope to be back soon with more Iron Craft Challenges from my clean space. A Mom and 2 Things: Iron Craft '13- #1 Cotton
http://amomand2things.blogspot.com/2013/01/iron-craft-13-1-cotton.html
A Mom and 2 Things. Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Iron Craft '13- #1 Cotton. I was excited when the theme for this challenge was cotton. I had this fabric that I was wanting to use and had been wanting to make the great yarn sacks. That Kathy had made for Christmas gifts. Now was my chance. I love how this turned out. It was a simple and quick project from me which was good since I was down to one day. I also wanted to make a tote bag to go with this but that will have to wait. I want one- mom.
