Could Paul be saying that God’s people are ‘clay jars’? If so, are you like me; slightly cracked around the edges, showing signs of chipping, discoloured in places, crazed with age etc? Have you ever wondered why we’ve chosen the humble Sunflower as our symbol? Are you mindful throughout the day of the Son in your life?

When Naomi returned from Moab, God got the credit—or blame—for the misfortunes so wrinkling Naomi’s face she was barely recognizable to her hometown friends. “Can this be Naomi? 8221; they questioned one another at the sight of her. The LORD has afflicted me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me.” (Ruth 1:20, 21–NIV). Was it really God who brought misfortune on Naomi?
