Friday, September 30, 2005. The falcon city of wondrous vulgarity. You know there is simply too much cash lying around in Dubai but not enough places to plough it into when you get projects like the Falcon City of Wonders. Costing nearly $1.5 billion (US Dollars) and to be built in boredom-quashing Dubailand. The project aims to emulate the planet's most iconic landmarks, but all it ends up doing is making a complete mockery of them. The French won't be particularly pleased. Salem Al Moosa, Chairman and ...

It makes you question why this self-proclaimed 'City of Gold' needs to constructed man-made islands out in the sea. T...

http://nomadic-writer.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 26, 2006. Life is hard, and then you get attacked by hundreds of little itchy blisters - 264 to be exact - and you can't get on the plane. Which is of course, what happened to us two weeks ago. Actually, the chicken pox happened to us two weeks ago. I think it was two weeks ago. It was such a long, hard time that it could have been a year ago. It certainly felt like it lasted a year, and I wasn't the one with the pops! I never want to be inside again. Three weeks in Corsica/Paris with his older sister sealed the deal. By week two, he was running around exclaiming, 'oh, c'est trop bien! Oh, that's too great! The inh...
