Velocodger: November 2009
http://velocodger.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 30, 2009. I'm keeping the SS! Yes, dirt skiing season is here and I rode my fav MB loop, the Foresthill Divide trail. I did not put my foot down! Always reassuring when you realize, even after a long absence, ya still got it! Or some of it anyway) The hard parts are still hard, but at least I don't have to go out and buy a derailleur. I don't like to face it, but I turned sixty this year. Yech. So what do I do differently? I warm up longer. Lots longer. Links to this post. Cyclocosm - Pr...

Velocodger: June 2010
http://velocodger.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 26, 2010. Acing is a different matter. Digging ever deeper as we lead or chase the peloton, gritting our teeth and vowing to keep up with that wheel ahead- now that's suffering! When my heart is pounding so hard I'm afraid it might burst-that's when I tell myself-. Today is a good day to die! And by the way, that's the Tourmalet Eddie's climbing. Links to this post. VeloCouch: Bicycling and Life. February 20, 2014. How do I know? Well, because the VeloCouch is being spotted in Portland and Portland is being spotted on Strava. What else is there? Check out these screen captures…. In case you don’t recognize the scenery, the first image clearly features a runner on the banks of the Willamette River. Clearly. And the later two feature runners in Portland’s Forest Park. Strava followed me from San Francisco to Portland! You cheeky little devil! September 3, 2013. Since ...

Velocodger: Who's your daddy?
http://velocodger.blogspot.com/2012/04/whos-your-daddy.html
Tuesday, April 24, 2012. There is something poignant about these racers, so far from home, family, friends, and all that is familiar. And yet they win. April 24, 2012 at 9:49 AM. I agree with your point of view and can imagine how lonly they must feel in moments of less good legs when they suffer to stay on the wheels and no homely good laugh around! Tuesday, May 29, 2012. I woke up Sunday with a strange taste in my mouth and the vague realization something wonderful had happened the day before.if only I could remember what it was. Gradually disjointed images and fuzzy recollections began to resurface.I had probably mistaken this. For a beer can, thus the strange taste in my mouth. Alas, it held no beer. I had done a ride.yes! Now I kinda remember riding with lots of people, riding up for a really long time and down for a really short time. Someb...

http://velocodger.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 5, 2009. Life as a dog! Did anybody see the ‘Far Side’ cartoon where a dog is in the courtroom (as the accused) and EVERYONE else is a cat? We as cyclists are the lonely dog in a courtroom full of cats! Answer; ride a bike, live close to your job, and stop the motor madness! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
