Wine & Things. Hollie Swanson, in partnership with her parents, Gerald and Teresa Swanson, assumed ownership of the Greenbank Farm Wine Shop in the Fall 2015. Hollie says embarking on this new venture allows her to pursue one of her life passions: I’ve had a love of wine my entire adult life. The Swansons are long-time residents of Puget Sound, with Hollie on Whidbey Island and her parents in Port Townsend.

On the First Friday of each month, Greenbank Farm invites you to attend their monthly extended hours beginning at 4pm, where you can mingle with the artists as you explore their gallery receptions, enjoy music, sample the variety of wines offered at the Wine Shop, taste and learn about unique cheeses within the Cheese Shop, and stay, play, and shop until 7pm. Wine & Things. John Molz purchased the farm in the early 1940’s and began planting loganberries. A loganberry is a hybrid between a blackberry and a raspberry. The berries were shipped to the American Wine Company in Seattle, the maker of Pomerelle Wines. By the 1950’s Greenbank Farm was the largest loganberry producer in the USA. In 1961 the farm produced 130 tons of berries on 78 acres and was reputed to be the world’s largest producer of loganberries.

Greenbank Farm B&B holidays in Cartmel. Onto the farm in 2007. The farm is now home to Sandy and Sylvia, Tracey and Rynardt and their young son Bailey as well as approximately 15 Friesian horses ranging from youngstock, broodmares, riding and dressage horses and those used for the carriage driving business. Greenbank Farm is now a busy equestrian centre but although work starts on the farm around 7am every effort is made to keep any noise to a minimum. Both Farm View and Valley View have a mini-fridge.
