Tuesday, 11 May 2010. Chris's Customized Cycle Cavalcade. Chris Hutt passed away late February / early March 2010, aged 59 years. His funeral was held at Canford Crematorium on the 30th April 2010. I adapted and decorated a large bicycle to carry my dad's coffin with a cavalcade of cyclists following behind the cycle hearse to the crematorium. Around 80 people turned up to say fair well. Thank you all, I was very touched and pleased that so many people made it. Chris Hutt Jnr. (Son). In a larger map.

Green Bristol Blog: January 2010

http://greenbristolblog.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, 21 January 2010. The Railway Path - Before and After. Following on from yesterday's post about the excessive tree felling on the Railway Path north of Ridgeway Road I've dug out a few pics to try to give a 'before and after' effect. The before pics, taken without permission from Martyn's railwaypath. Above and berlow - looking northeast towards Lodge Causeway Bridge from a position north of Drummond Road footbridge. Above and below - looking southwest towards Drummond Road footbridge. It seems ...

Green Bristol Blog: Railway Path Still Targeted for Bus Route

http://greenbristolblog.blogspot.com/2010/02/railway-path-still-targeted-for-bus.html

Thursday, 25 February 2010. Railway Path Still Targeted for Bus Route. The planned BRT routes are shown in cerise. View BRT to Emerson's Green. In a larger map. No doubt the WoEP will insist that the Emerson's Green to Temple Meads line is only notional and potential routes have yet to be assessed. But what potential routes are there other than the Railway Path? Bristol and bath railway path. West of england partnership. Could that be viable? The plan clearly shows that WoEP plan another BRT route to Eme...

Green Bristol Blog: April 2009

http://greenbristolblog.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 29 April 2009. As a cyclist I wish to apologise, not for cycling through red lights (which I often do), not for cycling on pavements (which I sometimes do) and not for cycling the wrong way down one-way streets (which I occasionally do) but for this, or rather what this portends when it drops through your letter box. This leaflet in itself is, like Our City. In the next few days. And that's the default position. If you don't want to have a visit from a cycling advisor. It's one thing to offer'...

Green Bristol Blog: Cycling City Crisis

http://greenbristolblog.blogspot.com/2008/10/cycling-city-crisis.html

Sunday, 5 October 2008. Why is it that everything with the initials CC in its name turns out to be such a let down for cyclists? We have Carboot Circus, (Bristol) City Council, and of course Cycling City. Bizarrely the City Council were awarded Cycling City status back in June. Even though they continue to back profoundly unpopular plans by West of England Partnership to convert the city's one outstanding cycle route, the Bristol and Bath Railway Path, into a Bus Rapid Transit route. But there are thankf...

Working For the Clampdown. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Laquo; A Positive Touch. Bring It Down (this insane thing). March 6, 2011 by Paul Smith. WARNING THIS BLOG POST IS CYNICAL and TRIBAL. Most people I know are not interested in electoral reform but want to get rid of this destructive government. In conclusion a No vote helps David Cameron and rescues the coalition from potentially embarrassing splits. A Yes vote however will undermine Cameron within his own party and ferment revolt in both ...

Green Britain - Do something really green for the team. Switch to Ecotricity.

Today's the day to switch energy supplier. The day to knock tonnes off your carbon emissions by building new sources of green energy with your electricity bill. The day to tell a certain giant French nuclear energy company that swiping Ecotricity's Green Union Jack isn't on, and that you know their little game. Ecotricity is a British company dedicated to turning electricity bills into windmills. Cheers, Dale Vince - Founder, Ecotricity. Ecotricity founder - Dale Vince's Guardian Article -.
