Saturday, March 19, 2011. After trying Crêpe Suzette for the first time at Pastis. I have been wanting to try Bar Suzette. In the Chelsea Market. I enjoyed the Apple and Brie crêpe topped with balsamic, honey and field greens. AMAZING! I loved the perfect balance of the creamy brie and crisp apples. I also picked up a Nutella. Thursday, September 30, 2010. On Sunday after church, my parents and sister came over to watch the Vikings game, make applesauce, bake apple crisp and eat chili and cornbread. We peeled, cored and sliced 3 pecks of local MacIntosh, Cortland and Jonathan apples to make two big batches of applesauce and 2 pans of apple crisp. One batch of applesauce was just apples for the apple of my eye to enjoy some day soon. The other was spiked with apple juice concentrate and cinnamon sticks. Posted by Maria Peters.

Monday, January 3, 2011. Yoga on the Brain. Lately my body has been yearning for yoga. The week of Christmas was my "rest week" between Stages 3 and 4 of New Rules of Lifting for Women. I broke out my stash of yoga DVDs, as I usually do on my week off from weightlifting and interval running, and I don't think that there was an unsore muscle in my body! Actually, I think that the DOMS on my week off was worse than it has been since giving birth to Matthew. I own a few yoga DVDs ( Karen Voight Yoga Power.

Monday, April 18, 2011. Hot Pink Breakfast Smoothie. And as you'll see from the two recipes posted below, you can change how much beet you use. This smoothie is based off of a delicious recipe from one of Green Smoothie Girl'. S recipe books (which I will post below), but I've definitely modified it for me. My recipe goes as such:. 1/2-1 medium zucchini, washed. 1-2 carrots, washed or peeled, and chopped. 1 whole sm/med red beet, scrubbed and chopped. 1 apple, washed and chopped. Enough water to blend.
