Seattle to New Mexico (and on to Texas). Thursday, March 31, 2011. Mar 26 - World's Richest Acre - Kilgore, Texas. After visiting the Oil Boom museum we headed to 'downtown' Kilgore to see the 'world's richest acre'. This is a 1.192 acre of land in downtown Kilgore that was first drilled in 1937. Developed before the spacing laws, this parcel of land held 24 oil wells on 10 lots owned by six different operators. The acre has produced over 2.5 million barrels of oil. Heading to the World's Richest Acre.

Finally had a chance to make a few - once I got it down, they were a snap to make. Untie the ribbon and the basket will lie flat for storage. I call them cookie or candy baskets:. Seattle to New Mexico (and on to Texas). Monday, March 26, 2012. Mar 25 - We Are Being Invaded. According to Hannah and Maggie - who reacted exactly like Ben and Bear did when they saw balloons in the sky. With consternation, lots of barking and running back and forth. Hot air balloon over our pasture. We are being invaded! If we race back and forth really quickly maybe it. Will think there are more of us than two and. It will just fly on by! A few more barks and that should do it! Past the Pecan tree.

My 2012 wasn't the greatest - lots of family tragedies and just really never had the energy to blog, although it might have helped.
