I'm checking in after 8 months of not blogging to share with you our latest home-remodel project. I can't believe we've lived here for 8 years now. It's time to start re-doing some of the projects we completed and maybe getting around to some of the ones that we have never tackled. I hope these posts will be more frequent as we work through our long list of home updates. Everybody loves a good before/after post, right? The Eagle's Nest: April 2014

http://gregandmandi.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Reading in February and March. I didn't get around to posting my reading from February, which is okay, because it wasn't that much reading anyway, so it works well to combine it with March. I have a whole host of posts (say it again.you know you want to! For now, here's what I read in February and March. This book was a gift from my parents, and I found it to be encouraging and helpful. It is very similar to The Homeschool Life, which I read in January. If the focus is on what you must. Like this, for ex...

The Eagle's Nest: grieving

http://gregandmandi.blogspot.com/2011/08/grieving.html

I may write more about this at a later date (and I may not) but for now, we just wanted to make sure that friends and family know what's going on, and we covet your prayers for us in the coming days/weeks. God, in His wisdom, has seen fit to take our little baby unto Himself much earlier than we ever dreamed. Please pray for us as we grieve and begin the healing process emotionally (and physically for me). The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." Job 1:21b. Amanda, I...

http://gregandmandi.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Summer Highlights {major photo dump}. A big highlight of the summer was C's 5th birthday! Not a Frozen-pool party). We helped to care for a stray puppy this Summer,. And this was our last photo with her before she went to her new home! We found a baby praying mantis and captured and examined it. This little scientist loves observing things through the magnifying glass! VBS this Summer was all about BUGS! Good friends and ladybugs = smiles all around! A little trampoline fun. These two were good buds.

Redefining Normal: September 2012

http://redefining-normal.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 28, 2012. Our week-long vacation at Rosemary Beach made for a great time of rest, sun and warmth, and time with the kids. Good thing, because we heard our town had two frosts while we were gone! A week was just long enough; we are ready to get home, but a little part of us hates to leave all this behind. Snapshots of our week:. Mom and the girls. Winston and Shep playing Liebrary. A new game to add to our collection. Maybe for Christmas? How can you resist a store called The Sugar Shak?

Redefining Normal: January 2013

http://redefining-normal.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 22, 2013. We're all about teeth here these days. Eleanor's are coming in like a flood, and I expect by her first birthday- in a month- she'll have four new ones on the top. You can just barely see them peeking out in perfect hillbilly fashion. On the other end of the spectrum, this girl smiles a little bigger so as to show off the gaping (at least in her mind) hole in her mouth. One Morning in Maine. Declares her a big girl now that she's lost this first tooth. I'd have to agree. Today a...

Redefining Normal: This one's for Moriah

http://redefining-normal.blogspot.com/2013/05/this-ones-for-moriah.html

Monday, May 6, 2013. This one's for Moriah. Just so you know you aren't the only one who has days like this. Friday was a terrible, no good, very bad day. Although there were lots of graces when I look back. The glass that didn't hit his eye. The lego piece was retrieved from the body cavity. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I woke up on Friday feeling especially sick, but when you are pregnant, it's hard to know if you are sick sick. In the mean time, no breakfast dishes had been done, none of our morni...

Saturday, January 31, 2015. Blogging a little here and there. Just wanted to let you know that I have been blogging a little on our farm blog, and if you want the latest you can look over there. Friday, September 30, 2011. And here's a 19-week pregnancy shot for you as well:. I'm off to bed so I can greet all those early-bird quarter-carrying garage-salers in the morning. Thursday, September 29, 2011. So challenge #5 from Lea's site. However, we are having a garage sale, or as my friend Jonesey. Everything is priced, the signs are up, and today's agenda includes picking up some extra tables and making two batches of Pioneer Woman Cinnamon Rolls. Friday, September 23, 2011. And yes, Sarah :), she...

Redefining Normal: May 2012

http://redefining-normal.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Wednesday, May 23, 2012. May 23: talking babies. Hello again. So much for every day in May. But here's my adorable excuse:. I love it when they try to mimic your face. You see, it used to be I could prop her up on a pillow on my lap while I nursed, and have both hands to type away at the computer. Nursing is the only way I could ever commit to blogging every day, because I actually have MORE computer time than ever before. I sit down all throughout the day now, not just to eat my own meals!
