Living The Dream: September 2014
http://nb-lois-jane.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Life Aboard Narrowboat Lois Jane. Tuesday, 23 September 2014. Brinklow to Braunston to Rugby. Passed by and hovered mid canal for a quick hello and chat. Along with their friend Manel, they were just as surprised to see us and we them. It was arranged to meet up after we had met Jess off the train, and, as usual, we had a fantastic evening with them. The top lock at Hillmorton was closed for maintenance, always interesting to see what is normally below water. Middle lock at Hillmorton. Then it was a visi...

SV Pilgrim: Back to Producing Dust
http://m382pilgrim.blogspot.com/2015/08/back-to-producing-dust.html
SV Pilgrim - 1979 Morgan 382 - Homeport: Beaufort, NC. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Back to Producing Dust. Our recent progress with installing electrical and plumbing components really inspires me to continue work on those systems, but some items remaining on our project list require grinding inside the hull. Grinding inside generates awful gelcoat and fiberglass dust. Despite our best efforts at masking the fine dust always finds its way into the rest of the boat. What is on the get the grinding done list?

SV Pilgrim: Refinishing the Engine Compartment Overhead & Walls
http://m382pilgrim.blogspot.com/2015/08/refinishing-engine-compartment-overhead.html
SV Pilgrim - 1979 Morgan 382 - Homeport: Beaufort, NC. Monday, August 3, 2015. Refinishing the Engine Compartment Overhead and Walls. The best illustration I could find of the existing paint in the engine compartment is a dated image (old drain manifold, hole from original engine raw water intake on port, refrigeration lines feed into ice box, and no bulkhead separating the engine compartment from the cockpit locker). State of Pilgrim's engine compartment prior painting. We plan to install new sound proo...

Guide Dog Oakley and NB Sola Gratia. Follow the antics of a qualified (slightly delinquent) Guide Dog - the only one who lives a nomadic life on the canals! Saturday, 15 August 2015. Pizza, Play and Kanoodling! I gather it was called pizza. It jumped out of the box on the park bench - straight into my mouth! It was yummy too! The humans sitting there clearly weren't appreciating it - otherwise why would they have put it down on the bench? I'm liking the sound of that! We then parted company and continued...

Guide Dog Oakley and NB Sola Gratia. Follow the antics of a qualified (slightly delinquent) Guide Dog - the only one who lives a nomadic life on the canals! Thursday, 13 August 2015. Today seems to have been a soggy day - in more ways that one:. I took Dad for a walk to get human breakfast yummies first thing. That made the floor soggy below where I sat while they ate it all! I then took Mum for a walk to the market and we got soggy on the way back. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow Oakley, his ...

http://nb-lois-jane.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Life Aboard Narrowboat Lois Jane. Thursday, 31 July 2014. Once we moored up on Sunday we were both pretty worn out after our Ashton 18 experience, we had dinner and vegged out for the evening, there were still quite a few people walking up and down the towpath as it was a sunny Sunday evening, a lot of them stopped for a chat and quite a few families were out enjoying the weather. Moored up just before Woodley Bridge. Total 318.75 miles and 194 locks. Thursday, July 31, 2014. Sunday, 27 July 2014. We wer...
