http://fromagechocolat.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde. Friday, April 17, 2009. The last week of our trip we spent in Wellington. Initially, we were planing on visiting Rotorua in the North Island, but we got tired, didn't feel like squeezing another park in and liked Leri's house too much :). The day I met up with them at the office, waiting for them at the reception gave me a knot in my stomach.WORK! I know I will be happy to animate again when I go back to SF, but I am afraid of the day when I will have to give again 75...

Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde. Tuesday, July 21, 2009. We know, we know, we have to catch up on 2 months of travel. We are both back in San Francisco already, having a hard time readjusting to normal life. In the next 3 weeks we will post 4 new entries about the the last 2 countries of our AWESOME trip. But, while you are waiting, you can still look at Monsieur Kevin Bell's pics and videos from Peru. He didn't have enough traveling with us in Laos, so in June he met us up again in Peru.

Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde: December 2008
http://fromagechocolat.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde. Sunday, December 21, 2008. Our vacation from vacation in Thailand. Well, we already have made it to Cambodia and have not posted anything during our 2 week stay in Thailand. So, we are catching up now. We did succeed in meeting up with Kelly in Kuala Lumpur. What an adventure! The flight to Krabi, Thailand was uneventful, except the rain that awaited us there. It took us five days total to get there from Kolkata, and then it rained! How fair is that? The first five ni...

Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde: March 2009
http://fromagechocolat.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde. Monday, March 23, 2009. Patience, it is coming :). Sydney. Fuck Yeah! Were the familiar words we heard on a beach on our second day in Sydney. It became clear that we were not in Asia anymore. The words, or better said the screams came from a group of buffed-up, sweaty dudes, I mean mates playing ball(s) on the beach. It almost sounded as if one of them was reaching a climax: "Fuck, yeah, fuck yeah. FUCK YEAAAAAAAAAH! They live in a big house in North Sydney and we st...

Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde: January 2009
http://fromagechocolat.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Sabaidee - Part I. Our entry into Laos was the complete opposite of the one in Cambodia. Our first stop in Don Det (part of Four Thousand Islands in South Laos) set up the mood. It is very laid back and it was such a nice, warm welcome to Laos. It was so relaxing to stay there for 3 days, enjoying our hammocks on the deck of a bungalow. The "Paradise" is run by a really friendly Lao family and the way it is set up made us fee. Early in the...

Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde: Chocolat and the long way to Cusco
http://fromagechocolat.blogspot.com/2009/09/chocolat-and-long-way-to-cusco.html
Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde. Friday, September 11, 2009. Chocolat and the long way to Cusco. On June 12th we left Bolivia and headed towards Arequipa, Peru. We were thinking about leaving the night before but due to protests in Peru, the border was closed. We arrived to Arequipa at night and immediately looked for a micro to take us to the center. A nice woman gave us directions and welcomed us by saying: "Do not talk to anyone! The next morning we realized that the center of Arequipa, especially...

Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde: November 2008
http://fromagechocolat.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde. Tuesday, November 25, 2008. 40 Days in India. We'll try to pick up where we last left it off and sum up our experience in India here. After leaving lovely Udaipur (white city on the lake) we decided to take a bus to Bundi ( a place in the middle of nowhere) and stay there for 2 days only. Is there even a road here? We are not taking a sleeper bus again. Because even if the road isn't completely destroyed, there will be somebody playing insanely loud and distorted ...

Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde: May 2009
http://fromagechocolat.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde. Friday, May 8, 2009. On the road again. Let's just say right away it's becoming more and more difficult to write new posts. It's really, really hard, just like work. We usually have to dedicate one entire day to writing it. Since we have only one month (little more for Miko) left, we might not be able to do a post for Bolivia. We will try. The bus ride was great but when we arrived in Iguazu, Hana was sick. Probably because of the air conditioning in the bus. While wa...

Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde: August 2009
http://fromagechocolat.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Fromage et Chocolat autour du monde. Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Welcome to the land of bowler hats - part 03. In the capital of Bolivia (the highest capital in the world), we stayed at "Alojamiento El Solario", cheap place with good location, free internet and an uninviting room. In short, La Paz looks pretty run down, with dirty streets, ugly architecture, crazy chaotic traffic, but somehow it was more fun to walk around here than in the super clean and white Sucre. Effects of chewing coca leaves: a) pro...
