I sit looking out on a cold morning with the sun shining and a fire in the wood stove and wonder will 2017 really be so different? Will I sit here next year feeling the sort of unfocused dread about the state of the world that I have today? One I had been looking forward to was the new one by Geraldine Brooks “The Secret Chord” https:/ www.amazon.com/Geraldine-Brooks/e/B000APM13Y. The story of King David. I was a tad disappointed in this book it just wasn’t as engaging as her previous works in my view. But don’t let that stop you from checking it out yourself.
