Saturday, November 15, 2008. October has come and gone and oh the adventures . Our last great adventure was just recently, during the first weekend of November when Phil, Andy (a co-worker and good friend), Mike (Andy’s brother visiting from the states) and myself completed a temple stay at the Buddhist temple of Golgulsa near the city of Gyeongju. It was a bit of a challenge to get to the temple, but the four and half hour train ride,. They have a lot more freedom than monks of the catholic faith, being...

Tuesday, August 19, 2008. The moment you have all been waiting for… the first edition of Meredith’s blog. After what equated to two days of traveling we are now safe and sound in Suwon, South Korea. It is definitely an eye opening experience. Upon arriving we found not many people speak English and everything is written in Han Gal which is geometrical shapes. Dazed and Confucius: Long Time No See
http://meredithseoul.blogspot.com/2009/02/long-time-no-see.html
Sunday, February 8, 2009. Long Time No See. And watching Harry Potter falling asleep about 30 minutes into it. We ate at a Thai restaurant for our Christmas Day feast and Phil bought me some converse shoes for my Christmas present. It just didn't feel much like Christmas even with decorations up at the stores. I did not see one Santa Claus. This ends the wrap up of our lives for the last three months. We hit the sixth month mark tomorrow ( Saturday, February 7th). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Monday, September 1, 2008. Time flies when you are 15 hours ahead. I can’t believe I have been in South Korea for almost a month now. Fall is upon us and it is suppose to be very pretty here. Today it rained all day. I have gotten into the habit of wearing skirts and sandals on rainy days here other wise my running shoes and pants are soaked by the time I reach the street corner. I was led to believe that Korean children are well behaved, this is not the case for most however! View my complete profile.

Monday, June 8, 2009. Bloomin' Blossoms and Ants in the Pants. I have recently tried eating some strange and somewhat disgusting food items here in good old South Korea just to test my bravery and open-mindedness. I would say the worst tasting was boiled silk warm larvae, yes yuck! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Living it up, teaching English in South Korea. View my complete profile.
