Tuesday, February 22, 2005. 88 days to go. 5 x 300m hills jog back recovery Ran 3 km warm up then did hill reps on Ruthven Street, Bondi Junction. As this was my first hill session ever, I can't really say if it was hard or easy. I ran each hill at (around) my 10km pace and reached the top strong, albeit gasping for air and totally pooped. Spin only before race. Thursday, June 30, 2005. Ruthven Street hill reps. Tuesday, June 28, 2005. I stopped and stretched some more and headed back up the hill. I always try to keep an even pace for the entire hill and try and run each rep with the same intensity. SLAM! The hills weren't hard work at all really. Apart from a little doms after the weekend, I pulled up feeling good. Since then I've ran 5kms twice and intend to run 15km on the weekend. Add a couple of runs midweek, that should have me right for a slow 21km @ SMH next Sunday. My bib and chip arrived last night and it was a pleasant surprise that I don't have to head over to Town Hall to collect my kit this year. I'll be running with CRs TOH and Beki and am very much looking forward to an easy run around the course and a catch up with everyone.
