From pregnant to somewhere. June 22, 2012. Roan’s about to embark on his first plane trip tomorrow–he’ll be going with me to visit Georgia and Ohio. (Ilya and Mateo left yesterday for Mateo’s first trip to Russia! And about 7 hours of sleep over two nights! 8211;but I also missed Roan terribly! Anyway, Roan is growing so fast! He now has eight teeth–four on the top and four on the bottom. He also now officially speaks three languages! That he recognizes some of the alphabet letters? I don’t know...

He gets up, cuddles, asks for a song and his ever-important “agua azul”, eats (“I hungry! 8221;), and then its time to wake up Mateo. Roan loves waking up Mateo! Roan climbs into Mateo’s bed right on top of Mateo and gently says, “wake up, sweetie. Wake up, sweetie Mateo.” Today, Roan also got to wake up his “sweetie papa.”. Ro was being talkative and active at bedtime, so I told him (from my cozy position lying on the wood bedroom floor) that I was only staying to help him sleep if he did his part by closing his eyes and staying quiet. Usually weekends are the time when I can ask the hubs to watch him for a minute or two here or there and get some laundry done or a minute to myself. Dagnabit. My enter button isnt working. Though he hid behind me at first and kept his eyes closed, his teacher gently lured him into the pools by playing with blowing bubbles with her bubble wand. Sunday, July 19, 2009. Like mother, like son. The bottom of the ditch was a thick layer of black sludge that stank to high heaven. Jake was frightened, filthy, soaking wet and covered in grazes.
