On Tuesday, September 17, 2013, hundreds of prominent civic leaders, elected officials, public servants, and members of the business and philanthropic communities gathered at the Freedom Tower at Miami-Dade College in downtown Miami to celebrate Constitution Day. Constitution Day is a federal observance honoring the U.S. Constitution and the rights it bestows on United States citizens. The law firm of Higer Lichter Givner, HistoryMiami, and Legal Services of Greater Miami hosted this second annual event.

Constitution Day Miami 2014. Noted journalist Tom Hudson served as master of ceremonies. As part of the event, dozens of community leaders read aloud from the Constitution. In addition, iPads and iPad cases were awarded to the middle-school and high-school winners of a Constitution-themed essay contest after the Cooper City Composite Squadron Color Guard, Civil Air Patrol and Air Force Auxiliary presented the flag.
