A daily description of my exploits in Central America. Friday, April 16, 2010. Day 19 - Santa Rita Part 2. I'm not sure what it was, but we all agreed it was amazing. It was the same old basic rice, beans, eggs and tortillas but for some reason it tasted super spicy and amazing. I think it had to be some sort of different way they cooked it or spices or sauces they used. I have no idea what it was but I'm starting to salivate just thinking about it right now. Were off to "El Asylo" tomorrow, which is a place where about 80 elderly natives live who have no where else to go. Brother martin compares it to and nursing home in the US sans the nursing. A daily description of my exploits in Central America. Sunday, April 11, 2010. Day 14 - Veg. Well We didnt really do anything today but bum around the house. We were supposed to go hang out with Nancy's family again but we just stayed in and slept ect. We played basket ball for a long time. Thats about it. Everyone needs a day off right? The last week has been pretty tiring and this being our day off, we took full advantage. Left the house around noon and went to a small resort hotel off the main lake. It was beautiful! I leave for the states tomorrow morning, and its bittersweet. Its going to be a shock going from living here to living there, and ive only been here a month!
