We are an independent Christian charity started in 1896 and our management team, chaired by the Rev Jon Honour, has representatives from a number of churches. We are supported by many denominations of church on the Island including Baptist, Church of England, Methodist, New Frontiers, Catholics and Salvation Army in both practical and prayerful ways. Foodbank - Guernsey Welfare Service - Foodbanks support people

We operate the largest foodbank in Guernsey, supported by many churches, individuals and businesses. The main store is upstairs at Holy Trinity Church and items may be dropped off there during the church’s normal opening hours of 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Items we are currently running low on:. Orange or blackcurrant squash. Corned beef or other tinned meat. Other items we use regularly:. Tinned vegetables (carrots, peas, sweetcorn). Donate to the foodbank. Top 3 most needed items. Small jars of coffee.

Get involved with the Guernsey Welfare Service. There are various volunteer opportunities, mostly involving foodbank collection and sorting during the day time Monday to Friday but also with Saturday supermarket collections. We and the people we help are always extremely grateful for any kind donation you can give. Select an amount to donate. Get an idea of how your donation will help. Will allow us to give a voucher for bread and milk to accompany a foodbank parcel to allow someone to eat for 3 days. Will allow us to give a voucher for packed lunch ingredients so that a child can take a nourishing lunch to school or a voucher for a bag of nappies for a younger child. Holy Trinity Church Centre. We provide practical help to those in need through vouchers for essential commodities such as fresh food, heating, household necessities, baby formula and nappies, baby equipment and children’s clothing. We do not want to make people dependent on us so can’t help too regularly or in large amounts.
