Tuesday, 23 July 2013. Last Tern mist netting for the season. Last night we mist netted Terns close to Blato colony. It was full moon but we went because it was last time we could organize before holidays. In two hours we caught 8 Terns, including one from Last session. All in all we ringed more than 108Common Terns in this colony. 88 of them were colour ringed. 27 were flying birds and 20 were full adults:) Not bad for the season. Hope there will be more of them found :). Lesser Kestrels over the colony.

Monday, 25 March 2013. Shags 2013 part 1. Last weekend Lori, Boris and I went to Mljet to ring first part of Shag chicks. It was very successful weekend. We visited biggest colony in National Park and there were at least 10 active nest:) We managed to ring 11 chicks and (finally) one adult! The weather was really good. Monday, 25 February 2013. 100th Post, one week late but nice catch:). I realized that this is 100th post on my blog:) When I was starting this I wasn't thinking that this will last this long:). And then I'm more than one week late reporting our last catch on Jakuševec. So this one won't go into details. It was nice day with two catches, first around 40 gulls(all BHG) and second around 80( 2 YLG and rest BHG). Total 117 birds:). And in the end star of the 100th post is HG found in Poland:).

Friday, 20 March 2015. It was a promising day with lots of gulls feeding on the tip. Our biggest problem was relatively small team of only 6 of us. We had first catch very fast after setting. There were around 100 BHGs and 1 adult MedGull :). As there were only six of us, we were not sure about second catch but after big gulls started landing in the catching area we decided to reset. I took second catch some 10 minutes after reset and it was great! Here are some of them:. Which we then released .

Thursday, 12 March 2015. Sunday March 1st 2015. I'm a bit late with this blog due to my personal reasons :). It was very nice day with 2 catches and all together 195 gulls caught: 194 BHGs and 1YLG. The great thing is that between those there were 9 allready ringed gulls. All BHGs. 5 were our birds, 3 Hungarian, 1 Holland and one from Poland that we found dead. Wednesday, 21 January 2015. Still January and no sign of catching:(. This winter is horrible! Mild weather with lots of rain and it is always raining on weekends so we cannot catch :(. Yesterday Niko and I went ring reading. In the end it was ok with around 50 rings read. Most of them were our BHGs, but also few croatian YLGs and few of our big gulls ringed on Jakusevec. Tuesday, 24 February 2015. With Strahil Peev from Bulgaria with us, I was under pressure to do any kind of catch. I took first clean shot and it end up with 93 birds including nice number of big gulls:). We reset for another and in 2 hours time gulls landed again with bigger numbers of big gulls:) So second catch was 51 gulls. In the end, a very nice day with 144 gulls color ringed including 4 Caspians, 1 Common, 1 HG(? 40 YLGs and 99 BHGs. And here are some of them:. 73EH can this be 1w HG. First canus ...

Monday, 3 September 2012. It's been logn time since I put some recoveries on my blog . Just checked this morning in last 6 years I colourringed 55 common gulls and they produced 26 recoveries, while with BHGs the situation is even better ; 2397 birds produced 1501 recovery:). So here are the interisting recoveries I decided to put on my blog :). First ever Croatian CR Common Tern recovery! This year we started this project and first one is found in Marcali (víztározó), Somogy, Hungary by Szász Előd :).
