Saturday, September 26, 2009. While out on my front porch today, I saw a neat looking moth. My wife HATES moths, but I think they're neat. I marvel at the transformation that they make from the various grubs and such that we grow to hate (ever seen what a tomato worm turns into? My wife said that this moth looks like a jet fighter. I had to admit that he/she is very aerodynamic looking. As always, you can click on the photos for the full size versions. That moth is pretty neat looking up close.

Saturday, November 20, 2010. Trip to Zanpa and a New Geocoin. We loaded up the car this morning and took a trip to the Awase area, where I found four caches, including a previous DNF (Did Not Find). We then trekked over to Chatan to grab some curry from CoCo Ichibanya. Yum. Next, it was north to Zanpa Point. Monday, July 19, 2010. Trackable Items Are Not Swag. I've mentioned before that geocaching in Okinawa seems to have a uniqueness that may cause this hobby to appear dull when Stateside. I consider myself a bit spoiled here; we have trackable items. In most of the caches here, the core group of cachers is very friendly, and almost all of the caches here are placed at real points of interest. I didn't figure I'd have too much problems getting this one approved since I seem to be the only one who hides caches up in that area for the most part. I was kind of surprised when I got an reviewer notice stating that my cache was on hold until I cleared up some proximity issues. Pictures were taken at or near Cobol Canyon Trail.
