On open days, visitors are able to see the amazing progress made on restoration of the mill and improvements to the site. Thelnetham Windmill has now closed for 2016 but is open to visitors between 11:00 am – 4:00 pm on the following days in 2017. Please note the last tour will start at 3:00pm. April 17 (Easter Monday). May 13 and 14 (National Mills Weekend). May 29 (Bank Holiday).

Historic Tower Mill in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Original Restoration 1980 1987. Current Restoration 2013 present. The cap is built on a heavy oak frame and runs round an iron curb on the top of the tower and is kept central by a set of six wheels. The eight bladed fantail is mounted at the rear and rotates the cap via gearing so that the sails always face into the wind. Volunteer — Rose Connor.
