Dr.GreenGlobe's Environmental Center: Horse 'n' Buggy
http://drgreenglobe.blogspot.com/2006/04/horse-n-buggy.html
Thursday, April 20, 2006. On January 2nd, 2006 there was an accident involving two vehicles in New York City. Sounds pretty common, right? Well, if both of these vehicles were your average sedan or SUV it would have been common. The difference this time is that one of these vehicles was a traditional horse drawn carriage. The apparent cause of the accident was a spooked carriage horse galloping out of control down a busy NYC street during rush. Cute carriage or deadly doom buggy? Against the Carriage Ban.

Friday, April 21, 2006. Though there is room for improvement, it is an all around great place to live. Image by Harry M. The streets have no real pattern as far as their orientation to each other or the outside world. It appears as though they were intended to control traffic flow. Another of this community's main staples. When you take a look at how many people are actually living in these houses, juxtaposition presents itself. Many of these 4-5 bedroom houses are occupied by older couples or widows...

Sunday, April 09, 2006. If you’re from Philadelphia, you’re probably familiar with the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. In the past 20 years it went from a functional navy base to a site for small commercial and industrial businesses. Thought the Navy still controls access to the shipyard, the eastern half is controlled by the city of Philadelphia. That portion was given to the city by the Navy when the base closed in 1995 ( GlobalSecurity.org. By many Philadelphians. That is why the area was registered ...

Dr.GreenGlobe's Environmental Center: Urban Juxtaposition
http://drgreenglobe.blogspot.com/2006/04/urban-juxtaposition.html
Wednesday, April 19, 2006. Many US cities are in the midst of a debate between the smoking and anti-smoking communities. Both sides are armed to the teeth with propaganda and statistics that endlessly contradict each other. It’s hard to distinguish the facts from the hype. I tend to disregard most statements on both sides of the debate, just because I feel lied to. As a citizen (smoker, anti-smoker. The latest revision of BILL NO. 060050. Are the anti-smokers and BILL NO. 060050. Contains more than 4,000...
