Sunday, 6 March 2011. Caught the sunshine Friday just gone with a much anticipated trip to Kew. My boyfriend and I foolishly left the 'Tropical Extravaganza' exhibit, housed in the Princess of Wales Conservatory, to the end of the day, rushing round just before closing. These photographs my brother took have been tweaked a bit, nevertheless the orchids and other vividly colourful flowers were amazing. Check out his photo stream. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sunday, 19 December 2010. Stumbled upon Letterpress Delicacies. On etsy.com, they also have a wonderful range on their flickr. Oh yeah and when next I have a spare £75.00 free. I could buy everything to make one of these kitsch cushions, courtesy of Emily Peacock. Friday, 17 December 2010. Rooting through some old photographs, I took this a good few years back looking down on Tate Modern's turbine hall. I'll always love it, so it deserves a showing. Friday, 3 December 2010. Going round corners is tricky.

Saturday, 30 June 2012. Getting bored of these simple block geometric patterns I've been stitching. So in a bid to investigate some more decorative embroidery techniques, I reminded myself of Australian textile artist Sera Waters use of blackwork. The Evil Banana 2008. So I had a look on the Royal School of Needlework's website for starter courses. Blackwork by Jessica Grimm. Friday, 29 June 2012. Found this. loved it. and it has got the ball rolling. Sunday, 18 March 2012. Got some knitting yarn recently from John Lewis. don't know what to do with it though. Last Sunday I treated myself to some ribbons from Beyond Fabrics. I wanted to start looking into Nordic textiles and some of the patterns on these ribbons were quite folksy, punchy colours too. I really enjoy Lina Peterson'. S jewellery which draws inspiration from the reverse side of embroidery. It's got me into looking at the more abstract reverses on knitted and machined textiles. Based in Lon...
