Coffee Table, allow me to introduce you to Joash's Mouth. That's right. Joash's mouth and the coffee table have met. And it was not the most pleasant meeting for Joash. Bur that is what happens when you try to make a bridge from the couch to the coffee table out a couch cushion. So, we will be living on a diet of soft foods and Popsicles for the next few days. We are very thankful this looks much worse than it is. Mom: Mataya, I know I am late for this interview. M: I have gone for a few tractor rides...

Sabotaged by Dani Pettrey. The Iditarod race. A gruelling, race that demands everything from any person involved. With the isolated and rugged location, it offers the perfect back drop for all sorts of people to try many different things to see what they can get away with. And in Sabotaged. By Dani Pettrey, one of the plots threaten not only people, but the beautiful Alaskan landscape as well. I received this book free from BethanyHouse publishing in exchange for my honest review. King of the Mountain.

The Talens' Tales: Mataya Lately
http://wdtalen.blogspot.com/2015/08/mataya-lately.html
I have been doing a poor job blogging lately. So, here is a glimpse into Mataya. Mataya, the melon monster. This girl loves to eat melon, especially watermelon and cantelope. She is pretty artsy already. So different from her brother. The humid summer weather gives her super cute curls that melt my heart. We tried braids for the first time today. They worked so well and stayed in much better than pigtails. We have found our new go to hair do. Tomorrow is Joash's turn. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Talens' Tales: Talen Family Summer Vacation 2015
http://wdtalen.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-talen-family-vacation-2015.html
Talen Family Summer Vacation 2015. Once again this summer as much of the Talen family as could gather for a little vacation. This year we decided not to go to far from home since we were only going for 3 nights, so we stayed at the Waterside Apartments in Cardigan, PE. We had wonderful weather and a wonderful time of relaxing and fun with the family. The view out our front window when I woke up each morning. Did you know Cardigan is home to Canada's Smallest Library? We of course had to visit.

The Talens' Tales: October 2014
http://wdtalen.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Well, we have had quite the weekend celebrating with this four year old. In the morning, there were lots of decorations up. We had cake at coffee time. Joash had requested a farm cake with a barn, two tractors and a farmer. I was pretty pleased to find this nice farm candles at the Bulk Barn. When then did a little family outing to the corn maze. It was a cool, drizzly day, so we had the whole place to ourselves. Mataya had fun too. Someone is very excited to be turning 4 today! What is your favorite toy?

Christmas - Part 2. Our actual Christmas celebrations were pretty low key. We opened gifts with the Talen family on Christmas eve. My goal this year was to take pictures of the kids with their grandparents and this is what we got. The rest of the gifts of all of the family that live far away we let the kids open slowly over the days following Christmas. We gave the kids a play kitchen and most of the gifts this year were accessories to that. Chef Joash is ready to cook up some tasty food! And he did so w...

A Brand New Calf. Today on the farm, a calf was born. Not an unusual event by any means, but he made a little stop in the yard while moving from the place he was born over the dairy barn. Joash was quite fond of the calf and kept petting him and saying how soft he was. Mataya was not so sure at first. But we finally convinced her to give him a pat and then she too said he was very soft and at supper tonight, she said he was beautiful. This is what it is to grow up a farm kid. The Things Kids Say. Joash h...

Joash is 4 1/2! Joash 4 1/2 today! And while he is your typical preschooler, he certainly is a joy! He loves school. He loves going outside and is spending more and more time in the barn with Wilbert. He actually does a few helpful things around the barn too, so that is nice for Wilbert. He still really enjoys playing with his farm stuff and reading books. Here he is ready for crazy hair day at school on Thursday. He thought he looked like a cactus. Mom: Mataya, can you believe you are almost 2? Mom: Any...
