No it does not rain everyday in Scotland and we have had reasonably good weather so far. May and June are the less wet months here. But as a we are approaching July we can feel the pattern changing and we have spent the last week in protected anchorages weathering one blow after the other , under deluge of water. Forgotten Places and Testing the Limits. May 19, 2016. We pushed off from Cherbourg on May 9th one day later than scheduled. The previous day as we were ready to cast our lines and I turned the instruments on, the outside chart-plotter went fuzzy. It was Sunday night. By Monday morning 10:30 am the team at Garcia were on board and installed a new one! Excellent service and one of the reason we choose a Garcia. Cromwell Fort – Tresco. Abbey Garden – Scilly island. Good place to do Yoga. Back to the cold.

October 25, 2015. We spent a couple of weeks in Cherbourg to Winterise HaiYou which is now safely stored at the Garcia boat yard. This is quite a job because of the many systems on this boat. All in all I counted 11 systems with pumps and used 50 litres of anti freeze… And I think I forgot one. Hopefully it won’t freeze too hard in Cherbourg this winter. We also had the visit of one of Lynn’s uni friend , Kate who now lives in Boston. We had a great time and enjoyed some good meals together.

On and off we spent 16 months in European waters, just enough time to know we need to spend a few more years there to realy explore it. Maybe when we close the circle.
