Hakuba Goryu also includes an area called Hakuba 47, technically they are two different places but you would never know it. The one ticket is good for both areas and they are linked by lifts at the top. With two different mountains, Hakuba 47 faces north and Goryu faces east, you pretty much get sun all day (when it's not snowing, which it does, er, rather a lot! The very top of 47. GETTING HERE FROM ELSEWHERE:. Take the shinkansen (bullet train) from either Tokyo or Ueno station to Nagano. It costs between 7300-7780 yen, depending on the time of day and u. Niformed JR staff are by the ticket machines to help you buy the ticket. Once at Nagano, depart through the ticket aisles, turn left, head down the stairs and turn right. Tickets can be purchased on the bus for 1500 yen each but if you go into the souvenir shop at the base of the stairs, you can buy four tickets for 5000 yen.
