Saturday, March 26, 2011. After the fun we had last year. We drove down to Marina the night before and stayed at the Ramada just as we did last year. Unlike last year, however, the weather was wet with a light rain falling during part of the run. The Army didn't have any need to add water to make mud this year. Sunday, May 29, 2011. I did not have a chance to hike this weekend. Sunday morning I showed up bright and early for the Mt. Hamilton Classic. This annual bike race is put on by the San Jose Bicycle Club. The elite of the biking community ride their bikes from San Jose to Livermore, over Mt. Hamilton. She has joined "Compassion and Choices" formerly known as the Hemlock Society, who advocates for legalized euthanasia. In fact, this group has made a video with sad and ominous music and a lot of words about "death with dignity", "compassion", "choice", "suffering", "enough is enough". That is where our similarities end.
