Welcome to our “FAQ” section on the website, here in no particular order we answer your questions regarding the Elkwater Milehigh Tri. Is it a trail run? Where do we swim? The swim is a 500 m open water swim in the fresh waters of Elkwater Lake. It will be a shotgun start at 8:30 am off the main beach. Swim caps will be provided. What is the Bike portion like? Just off the beaten – or driven – path. Almost midway between Calgary and Regina, Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park offers two different access points – from the Alberta side or from the Saskatchewan side. The townsite of Elkwater is located in the Alberta side of the Park, just a short half-hour drive south from the Trans Canada Highway. Download the Interprovincial Park map.
