Commit Yourself To You: Now Is The Time...
http://commit2you.blogspot.com/2011/01/now-is-time.html
Commit Yourself To You. Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Now Is The Time. Is it just me or is this year flying by already? It’s the beginning of January and it seems as if a month has already gone by. Well I pray for only the best for everyone this coming year. It’s time to spread our wings, think outside the box and soar toward our goals and dreams. Now is the time! Now is the time to step up to the plate, put all our fears aside and take a brave step toward the unknown. Just know you have nothing to lose.

Commit Yourself To You: October 2010
http://commit2you.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Commit Yourself To You. Friday, October 22, 2010. What are your gifts? It is said that everyone has special talents or gifts but it’s up to the individual to develop and nurture their gifts, whatever they may be. It amazes me how some people know right away what they are destined to be in life from day one, while others may take a lifetime searching for their purpose. Have you ever sat down and ask yourself, “What are my talents? What are my contributing gifts to the world? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Ill Professors: World's Oldest Beer
http://theillprofessors.blogspot.com/2011/02/worlds-oldest-beer.html
This sounds like something Johnny Depp would really, really want written into the next Pirates film: a two hundred-year-old beer, found in the deep blue sea. Apparently beer has been chilling for two centuries at the bottom of the Baltic Sea off the coast of Scandinavia. Here’s. The Huffington Post’s. Summary of the brew. Finnish scientists say they hope to re-brew an old ale after studying ancient beer found in a 19th century shipwreck at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Shake and Stir Blog. Image: kaepern...

The Ill Professors: The Indie Dilemma: The Business of Being Black
http://theillprofessors.blogspot.com/2011/02/indie-dilemma-business-of-being-black.html
The Indie Dilemma: The Business of Being Black. Fast forward to 2011, and the publishing industry is very much aware of race when selecting and marketing books by new authors. Who will buy this book- or more specifically, will enough Black women buy this book to make it worth our while, since most Black men don't read recreationally? What are your thoughts? Is it realistic for the indie artist to ignore the larger commercial trends that define his/her art? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Jack Ma is n...

The Ill Professors: Lazy Day Movies
http://theillprofessors.blogspot.com/2011/03/lazy-day-movies.html
Back in the day, before I had 450 channels and hundreds of movies and TV shows to choose from On Demand; I was at the mercy of local TV programmers' movie choices on lazy days. Oddly, even though there dozens of movies I want to see On Demand, I sometimes have a hard time choosing. To watch "Weird Science." However, if I am flipping channels and I catch it on TV, it's on like popcorn. Watching "Philadelphia." Nobody wants to be bummed out on a lazy day. Some of my favorite lazy day movies over the years:.

The Ill Professors: YahZarah: BlackStar Power
http://theillprofessors.blogspot.com/2011/02/yahzarah-blackstar-power.html
So much is in a name. Dana Williams adored her grandmother so much that, after concluding a stint as a backup singer for Erykah Badu (Williams appeared on Badu’s “Mama’s Gun)”, Williams paid tribute to the dearly departed with a stage name meaning "Queen Mother is the brightest star.". Considering her growing fame, “YahZarah” may soon say it all. Byron Lee, Contributor. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
