Monday, January 17, 2011. I've mentioned Lettie and Jared in other posts. They taught a class we went to last fall and have adopted through foster care. Their passion for foster parenting is unique and.well.contagious. I sent her a message on Facebook about starting the foster parenting classes. She wrote back and here is a little bit of her message:. I am so excited for you. You will definitely be in my prayers. Will you be fostering or on a list to adopt only? I'mEncouraged. Grateful. Saturday, January 15, 2011. Jeremiah has had back problems for a number of years. It has gotten extremely bad in the last year. Although.some days I wonder if it is all a game just to have me wait on him hand and foot. LOL. Ok.totally kidding. He's in a lot of pain. I hate it for him. We were crushed when we found out we were denied insurance not only because we needed it to proceed with the adoption, but because it meant he couldn't get medical treatment for his back. I was at work when I heard about this story and held in my emotions all day, but my hour ride home was full of thoughts and prayers for this little boy. I came home, told Jeremiah and cried. I said.if this boy makes it.what will happen to him next? Will he go home or will he now be placed in foster care? Will a relative take him? What will be his story after his trauma? Monday, January 17, 2011. I also emailed Mandee from The Home of God's Love. I had not given her an update about us being denied insurance.which meant we could not proceed with the home study and adoption. It was hard to send the email, because I thought it was our time. I was so excited to be apart of the THOGL family, but we have to look good on paper and we just don't right now. This journey is such a roller coaster ride. I know our journey with them is not over.it's just paused for now.

Friday, January 07, 2011. Sarah emailed me back this morning saying she was out of the office today and told me to get in touch with Michelle who teaches the foster parent classes. Michelle emailed me minutes later with the application attached. The orientation is Tuesday, January 18 from 6-8pm and the classes start the first week in February and run for 9 weeks.
