Tuesday, 28 April 2009. This little village has been in the news this week. It reminds me of somewhere I used to go to as a child, Bekonscot. Which I loved. This may be even better as it is knitted! The village of Mersham in Kent was created by 40 knitters over a 23 year period. The work will be sold off piece by piece to raise money for the village hall. More info available here. http://outcastartists.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Friday, 23 October 2009. It's been a busy Autumn so far for us at Outcasts HQ and our knitting-in-public appearances at IKnit Weekender in London, and LMEYD in Reading, presented the perfect opportunity to finally knit an 'Outcasts! Banner - after all, there's nothing like a deadline or two! And a very effective banner. The real gain for us though was the sheer fun of creating something together. A free pattern and blank chart for your own personal use is available to download here. Where you can find us.
