This is a parametrized model of the HL-20 Space Plane based on the 3view drawing and cross sections found in NASA TM-4117. Unfortunately, the drawings are clearly self-inconsistent. One way to keep the wings out of the water (and eliminate the usual seaplane aero hamper gizmos) is don't: let whichever (little bit fat) tip that. How will you keep the wings out of the water? Rob received his BS from the University of Missouri at Rolla and his MS and Ph.D. from Georgia Tech (all in Aerospace Engineering). He has worked on geometry tools for aircraft design since 2001. Getting started with VSP is easy. If you're on Windows or MacOS, visit the download. Page and pull down the latest version ready-to-go. If you're on Ubuntu, there are some installation instructions. OpenVSP is a parametric aircraft geometry tool. OpenVSP allows the user to create a 3D model of an aircraft defined by common engineering parameters.
