Summer in the City | Hannah Goes to France
https://hannahgoestofrance.wordpress.com/2015/06/30/summer-in-the-city
Hannah Goes to France. And other places too. Summer in the City. June 30, 2015. June 30, 2015. As cool as it is to travel with my family to new places, it’s always so fun to have them visit me in Leeds. I’ve spent so much time here that you’ve guessed it it’s become just like a second (or third? I’ve lost track at this point) home, and now everyone in my family has been here too. Since my dad left at the end of May, I’ve had a month ofnothing. And unlike the last time I lived in Leeds, where I. People in...

Why France? | Hannah Goes to France
https://hannahgoestofrance.wordpress.com/why-france
Hannah Goes to France. And other places too. Hanging out at Mont Jalla in 2011…. My illuatrious history with France and the French language started when I was eleven years old, and starting the sixth grade. That was the year when students in my hometown in Massachusetts started a foreign language. We had to choose between French, Spanish, and Latin, and I of course chose French, based solely on the reason that it sounded so. 8230;aaaaand hanging out at Mont Jalla four years later! And so I did. In the bo...

choosing regions – CALIFORNIA OVERSEAS
https://californiaoverseas.wordpress.com/2013/01/04/choosing-regions
Applications are due January 15th, and – surprise, surprise – I’ve been procrastinating. To be perfectly honest, I don’t have that much left to do. All my documents are scanned in, I just need to write my personal statement (in French) and have my instructor complete my language evaluation. I got this. But I need your help, friends! I need to choose from:. Nice – Duhhh. You know about my love affair with this region of France! Do you know something about these (or other) areas that I should be aware of?

Day #23 – I love airplane food
https://iloveairplanefood.wordpress.com/2015/08/12/day-23
I love airplane food. Peanuts, crackers, and liquor. August 12, 2015. August 12, 2015. Day #23 of 100 days of creation). The prospect of me being employed full time again with a long commute, running in the morning, biking in the evening, and paying attention to HG and the pups, has me thinking about how I can freeze homemade meals ahead of time. My first thought: breakfast. Now I’m thinking… What else can I prepare ahead of time for quick morning breakfasts? I used a pie crust recipe. They taste great b...

I love airplane food. Peanuts, crackers, and liquor. Teeny tiny french excursion. May 31, 2015. I haven’t posted on here for a while…. I left Seoul, South Korea three months ago, and have been living in a small French village close to Switzerland for the past two months as an au pair. I’m supposed to stay until August, but I’ve decided to leave a bit earlier and head back to the homeland — Korea! I can’t be without a furry best friend for long, it’s not in my nature. My first full marathon! The Frosted S...

I love airplane food. Peanuts, crackers, and liquor. August 4, 2015. August 7, 2015. Day #14 of 100 days of creation). Duck, the puppy, is going through an exciting period of teething. She chews on everything — throw pillows, slippers, the bottoms of the curtains, the couch, etc. etc. She’s lucky she’s so cute! Duck has also taken to chewing on my yarn, which may be the most aggravating one of all (other than the throw pillows. I love my pretty pillows.). I love fall and winter. August 4, 2015 at 12:23.

Days #9 and #10 – I love airplane food

I love airplane food. Peanuts, crackers, and liquor. Days #9 and #10. July 30, 2015. August 7, 2015. Day #9 of 100 days of creation). Today is the perfect kind of rainy day for sewing, coffee, a movie, and coffee. And maybe some more coffee. On a very happy note, Korea is much cooler and less humid today — so praise the rain! And my crowning “creation” was when HG came home for lunch today, I had made him a pizza cone.🙂. Day #10 of 100 days of creation). I spent the morning hanging out with HG (he had a...

Hannah Goes Fishing | A Fishing (and more) Blog
A Fishing (and more) Blog. August 15, 2015. We Made a Video! My blog’s first home made video! Rob and I put this together as a fun little glimpse into our lives as Peace Corps Volunteers. While we filmed this over several days (because both of us are terrible at remembering to get the camera out), it represents what one day might look like in our village life. I was so excited about this new step into the YouTube frontier that I couldn’t wait for the regular Sunday or Wednesday to post! August 12, 2015.

Hannah Goes to France | and other places too
Hannah Goes to France. And other places too. Being a Teacher During the 2016 Election. November 8, 2016. December 13, 2017. I’ve thought a lot about being a teacher during this election, and especially over the last few months. I been absolutely appalled and disheartened by so many things, whether it’s the words of a candidate or the reactions of voters. But each time I feel like it’s about to push me over the edge, I remember that I’m in a position to affect change. The Times They Are a-Changin’. I took...
