We were surrounded by flowers and lovely scenery and had access to mud baths and jacuzzis twenty-four hours a day. It was perfect after a week filled with exams and papers. I knew this would happen. Our farewell dinner is set for tonight at a Peruvian restaurant close by the Institute which I’m sure will be incredibly bittersweet. We got up a bit early and took a bus to Heredia to explore the GIGANTIC fruit market that spans approximately six or seven blocks (I may be underestimating? Fishes in the market! Adventures in Costa Rica. Don’t Stand in the Rain Without a Jacket. Ever. July 21, 2015. Friday morning however, I was able to explore the local fruit market with my friend Rachel. We had a great time, though I had a mini allergic reaction to God only knows what, which manifested in a funny way. Spent less than $3 on a piece of watermelon the size of a large infant. She was a happy girl! These are like lychee, but are called something different that I can’t pronounce. Super delicious. Only 31 more days!

I am fascinated by organic form. Plant life and the diversities of the human face intrigue me the most, but I seek out natural organic life in all of its calculated displays. With form and shape comes negative space as well, and I'm drawn to focus on it objectively in my 2-D representations. Color combination is often a theme I explore in both illustration and paint mediums, but the simple act of utilizing line to create form is my basic satisfaction.
