Sleeping Giant Loppet Fresh Air 50km Free Technique. Start Time: *10:00 am EST*. The stunning course for this marquee event winds around Marie Louise Lake, heads off onto the scenic and challenging Pickerel Lake and Burma Trails then converges with the other distances to finish back at Marie Louise Lake Campground. There are six support stations along the route with water, snacks and sports drink. The fastest male and female finishers overall will win prize packages from Fresh Air. Age 16 and up only.

Sleeping Giant Loppet: Trail Conditions. Thursday February 25th, 2016. There is lots of snow in Thunder Bay and much more at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. The entire 50km Loppet course was groomed for classic and skate on Wednesday, Feb. 24th. Conditions should be excellent for the upcoming weekend, the last before the Loppet on March 5th. Sleeping Giant Loppet: Pre-Event. Registration kits, including bibs, timing chips and race day information, must be picked up at Kamview Nordic Centre on Thursday March 3rd or Friday March 4th between 3:00 and 9:00 pm. The canteen will be offering a classic chili dinner special to skiers on March 3rd and 4th, so you can enjoy a hot meal and pick-up your kit at the same location!
