Wednesday, February 19, 2014. What makes you think Spring? Just last week we were fighting unusual winter weather including sleet and snow. Today I was out walking around my yard in short sleeves admiring the first hint of spring, my first daffodils! Aren’t they pretty? I'm a glass half-full kinda gal so I'm seeing signs of spring instead of thinking that it is time to rake the leaves! Although it is going to have to be done before too much longer. Oh well. The March PCAGOE challenge is eggs or egg shapes.

Wednesday, March 5, 2014. No, I'm not taking up sewing. although I did do a lot of sewing in my younger days. These pins and needles are the ones I'm standing on waiting to see if my application to the Craftsmen's Guild of Mississippi is accepted. This is THE guild to be a part of if you are a artisan who falls outside the category of painter. The applications will be reviewed this Saturday, March 8th so I should know - yea or nea - soon. I havent worked much with clay outside of Sculpey a long time ago!

Monday, July 27, 2015. At Home in the Enchanted Forest. It's hot in central Mississippi but I've still been hard at work in the studio getting ready for three fall shows. Here is the latest addition to my designs. The "stones" on this fairy house are actually an illusion cane. You can create shadows which give the illusion of stones. Sunday, January 24, 2016. Seasons (spring, summer, fall, winter). This month’s PCAGOE Challenge is Seasons (spring, summer, fall, winter). I originally had a different project in mind but found these adorable 2 inch by 3 inch metal mini-frames in one of my local stores. Each frame features a custom mix of polymer clay and details specific to the season. Once the clay is applied to the frame, a texture sheet is used to add a design complimentary to the overall design. And what is happier than sunflowers!

Just today I told Ashley how crazy it is to watch her play and move all around when just a few shorts months ago she was this little baby that I could just lay on the couch. It has been so much fun to watch her learn and explore and get so excited of her own new accomplishments. Has joined the world of big girl carseats. First trip to the zoo!
