Harrison's Journey: We're Home
http://harrisonjourney.blogspot.com/2007/01/were-home.html
This blog is to keep friends and family updated on the progress of my son, Harrison, as he goes through a complicated brain surgery to correct a seizure disorder. Tuesday, January 23, 2007. I'm not sure what else to say, but we're home. We got home about 4:30 today. Even though I have now seen Wisconsin in my rearview mirror, I'm not ready to relax. Harrison is still very, very far from recoverd and there are still a lot of unknowns. Will he get all his skills back? Is he completely seizure free? I know ...

He truly is one tough dude to come through it like he has. Thanks again for all you have done for us. Sunday, January 28, 2007.

This blog is to keep friends and family updated on the progress of my son, Harrison, as he goes through a complicated brain surgery to correct a seizure disorder. Saturday, February 3, 2007. I thought I would write a bit since I have a spare minute. Tim, Harrison and Margaret Ann are taking naps. It has been a busy week. Therapy sessions and some visits to school have kept us hopping. Thanks to all who have brought meals. It has really helped not to have to think about cooking. Saturday, February 03, 2007.

Once again the family is napping and I have a few minutes to write an update. Many people have made comments about how well he does answering the phone, which is his newest job since Margaret Ann arrived. His speech is more fluent, and he is asking more "why? From the age of 2, playing the drums has always been a large part of me. It has enabled me to love what I do, and has given me opportunities to tour and play with incredible people. It remains a strong passion of mine and I believe this is evident both in the recording studio and the live stage.". I've had the privilege of playing with some really great people over the years.".
